The lithography : one of the several printmaking techniques
Four great printmaking techniques are available to produce the matrix of a fine art print :
Intaglio processes : engraving, drypoint, etching, mezzotint, aquatint, etc (usually on metal, copper, zinc, steel)
Relief processes : woodcut, linocut, etc...
Flat processes : lithography (on stone, zinc, tracing paper), monotype, etc.
Openwork masks processes : serigraph, stencil, etc...
In the infographic processes or data-processing, the matrix is essentially numerical and the impression combines various traditional or data-processing techniques, and we can speak about mixed techniques.
